May 22, 2010:

I'm running out of clever titles! Damn it...anywho, today was a beautiful day! Remember how yesterday I said it was really warm? Well, today was warmer and even better because I got to go to Giessen again -as I predict I'll be doing quite often- I was able to walk around in a tshirt and leggings the entire day without being cold -wow! First time while being here. Oh and best part was I made friends today! Wooo! I'm on a roll. About time. Being a loner sucks, let me tell you! hahaha...got more pics including a salad I ate, a giant duck, buildings (of course) and a pic of me! :)

Toodles noodles!

New Bike:

I got this new handmade bike from a bum and it only cost me 2 euro, what a deal! I'm loving Germany.

For more pics check out my album "Germany", guest password "germany1" http://s133.photobucket.com/albums/q60/WifeyOwens/Germany/

Finally...

The sun has finally graced us with its presence! Todays weather was perfect! Got to sit out on the beach chairs and play on my PSP...eat lunch outside (and weird German ice cream) on the patio and jump in the trampoline -jealous, arent you? :)

Happy Birthday, Arjang!

To a truly amazing person who was taken from us far too early in life:

If you have internet access, wherever you may be, I hope you see this post, Arjang.

Of course, I didnt forget that today is your 24th birthday. I'll bring you a green plant (not flowers, because I know you dont like them) as soon as I'm out in Hamburg -pinky promise. I miss you and love you more than you can imagine. Know that you live in my heart. Hope youre proud that I'm out conquering Germany now...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Arjango! beep boop. :)
Rest in paradise.

Phone Booths:

LONDON

GERMANY

Giessen:

I went on an adventure to Giessen today! It was raining the entire time and, surprisingly enough, I wasnt a human popsicle, like I was in Düsseldorf -shocker. I got some shopping done and I ordered food all by myself! Hurray for not starving! My hoodie, jeans and chucks were soaked by the time I got back "home." All in all, good day! :)

The following pics were taken in Giessen. The one on the left is of downtown where I was at a crosswalk and the second is Giessen's Hobanhof (main station) which I thought was a beautiful building:

Allendorf:

This is Allendorf, where I waited for the bus in the rain. Looks like Solvang, right!? (http://image.pegs.com/content/H/H2O/H2OG/H2OGI/WVI-EXTERIOR_j.jpg)

Dusseldorf

I ditched my connection flight and stayed in Dusseldorf to visit David (yeah, David Trimble from Woodbury!)...anyway, for an American, he was a great German tour guide. I got to see tons of bars, which is something pretty major in Dusseldorf.

Der Kolner Dom

Went to Cologne today and checked out some Gothic architecture: Der Kolner Dom
Blogger takes forever to upload images so I have uploaded the rest on my photobucket account -yeah, I know I am so old school but whatever, I've been using it for a long time.
Here is the link: http://s133.photobucket.com/albums/q60/WifeyOwens/Germany/

Out and about:

The transit system in Germany is awesome! You really don't need a car here...unless you're going out to a club and are going back home after the trains stop running that is! Hahaha speaking from experience. :)

Zee beginning:

Because I am just super lucky like that, my flight got delayed from 5:45pm till 9:15pm because of a dumb volcano. So, rather than arriving around midday in Düsseldorf, I arrived later afternoon.

Oh, and did I mention it was gloomy and freezing cold!?

There was ice in between the two pieces of...um, glass?...in my window. Luckily, nobody sat next to me and I am small so I got to lay across and cuddle with myself while watching movies :) The food was also pretty decent for airplane food and I managed to get some sleep so good flight overall! (except for the delay.)
